-had a pretty chill weekend. yard work Saturday. chill Sunday as part of the fam was down with a stomach bug. yuck!

not all quiet on the training front........
i have been in a rut. a real deep hole.... it happened at the end of April. maybe some burn out. maybe a change of focus. maybe some work or life stress.... but it happened. the rabbit hole opened up and swallowed me whole.
i took a week off. then another. got a couple bike rides in but just couldn't motivate... then another...
and here i am.
so what happened? dun know. could have been a lot of things. could have been nothing. but it happened.
so whats the plan? get back after it. end of plan. simple stupid.
get up.
put boots on ground.
go and do some fuckin work.
don't over think it.
got away last weekend, got some sun, did some thinking.
put on the running shoes and just went .
3+ the first day
2 the next with half that on the beach and the other half barefoot on pavement
3 the next day on the road.
little mobility and some body weight stuff mixed in.
got home and got back into the grind. work, family, crappy sleep.

not stepping in. making a turn, changing pace.
just do the damn work.
getting back here and back into the gym.
had some blood work done today. routine but added a few variables just to see. take that out of the equation. think i know all the answers already but better safe than sorry.

got in 18 miles. felt sluggish. ok at times but dead at others. weird.

-spent the whole day in a training class. grrr. at least we were able to get outside and eat lunch by the lake.
Sunday
-SSAP course recon mountain bike ride.
-all said 20 miles on the MTB. 16 of it on the race course. going to be sweetness!!
-spent rest of the day outside with the family chilling.
Monday
-rolled over this am. wanted to see how the legs felt after the ride and was suprised. feel solid. it was casual pace but still a couple hours in the saddle.
-back in the ring later.

day off from work. yeah.
5 mile run at the lake. fam went walking i ran the outer loop.
8:30 average pace. slow endurance pace. nothing crazy. just get the legs back into it. get the head right again.
-solid. felt good. could have thrown down a bunch more miles at that pace but need to ease the legs back in.. etc.

-grrrrrr. still coping with congestion,headache and crappyness from flu. wrote this whole week off. will be back at it this weekend and then back in the swing monday.
not sure how i will handle the 5-3-1. maybe make up the 1 week but limit the max weight reps and then go right to the next 5 week. no deload.
gotta kick some more running in as well. good chance to reset and focus on the spring ahead.
